With a weeks holiday,
mostly spent catching up with jobs at home,
especially after having some recent renovations at home,
which mean't the paint brushes had to be in use again....
But, I did ensure I had a few distractions to look forward too.
On the Easter weekend, I had the chance to visit
Forde Abbey, Somerset.
A wonderful country estate with such beautiful natural gardens.
One of the first amazing sights,
was to see the cascading Wisteria in full bloom,
evident around the entrance to the chapel.
Later in the week,
with a visit to a much loved location,
Hestercombe Gardens,
beautiful Wisteria was blooming
in several areas of the gardens once again.
The stunning blooms cascaded down pillars,
around stone arches
and naturally mingled in with white cascading Clematis.
Wonderful to see,
the Wisteria certainly does
cause quite an impact!

I have a Wisteria growing
in an old tin bath in my garden,
which has thrived and survived
for so many years,
I dare not think about,
but after seeing such spectacular sights,
I think I may be trying
to find a more suitable location
to plant into the ground.
