English Lavender Fields

I totally love the aroma of lavender,
but the Lavender fields in Surrey was completely amazing.

Not only the carpet of colour that was so astounding,
but also to listen to the drone of the bees this beautiful flower attracts.

In the centre of the field,
was a massive tree offering shade for a such a hot day,
a tranquil spot to sit and stare,
or a place to enjoy a picnic.

The sight of the lavender and it's perfume was intoxicating.

Can't wait to return next summer,
and this only a matter of minutes by car,
close to my family.

Clavelshay Barn, Somerset, England.

A few months ago,
I was drove my daughter to a local location,
as she was going to do the Wedding make-up.
This location was really situated
 in amongst the English countryside,
driving carefully through many country lanes!

The Farm still remains a working farm.
But,
it was lovely to see the wild flowers,
that had been picked that day,
  to decorate the property.

The Wedding party had the use of the Barn,
 and a marquee,
especially set up for such purposes,
 but overall,
the occasion was aiming for a countryside wedding,
 with a relaxed atmosphere,
which was certainly enhanced by such surroundings.

While my daughter applied the make-up for the Bride and her bridal party,
I was fortunate enough to have permission to explore
 the privately owned grounds,
 including their own wood.

Needless to say,
my morning was calming and appreciative of such a lovely day,
with  such spectacular views of our countryside and nature.

The weather remained beautifully warm.
No one could have wished for a more perfect day for a wedding.

Sunshine Vibes

The colour Yellow can definitely be
 associated with the recent sunshine!
Brilliant colours from some of the garden roses.

These blooms are definitely highly scented aswell.
So lovely & memorable!!

Fun at the Park

This Squirrel was determined to stay put,
regardless of some chatterbox young ones
 or lingering adults.

A family visit,
 just before Easter,
took us to the local town's park.

The playground for the children was
an enjoyable interlude to the walk for them.

But,
this Squirrel was also in his element,
with his playground from tree to tree.

All the Signs

All the signs are very apparent
for a changing of the seasons!

The garden is starting to become more alive
 with some gorgeous springtime colour.

The transformation is really inspiring,
lets hope we can look forward
 to many sunny warm days,
 as the year progress!

Bring on the Flowers

How I love the beauty of flowers,
each and everyone are such a miracle,
 and each unique.

 Yesterday, was my birthday,
even though I added another year to my age,
with the delivery of  some roses,
 from my cousin,
really put a smile on my face :))

Also, this past week,
I noticed a lone daffodil growing in one of the garden pots.
Definite encouragement to buy some for the home.
Such a vibrant colour to cheer the day.
The tulips was from one of my birthday cards,
really starting to feel Spring is so close by.

Until there are more signs of this wonderful season outside,
I will certainly make the most of enjoying these beautiful roses!
A Huge Thank You to my lovely cousin xx

Blue Skies Over London

Such a magnificent sight at Greenwich,
the Cutty Sark.

The University,
with modern London in the background.
The area was festooned with filming units displaying arrows 'to the film set',
the catering marque dominating a vast expense of the grounds.
There was definitely some serious filming going on here!
Hopefully, a good drama to look forward too x
  Unfortunately,
I was unable to discover what filming was taking place.

This was such a quick exploring  trip of Greenwich,
but blue skies surprised and prevailed for the day,
 regardless with the relentless cold,
 just over a week ago.

Greenwich also host The Maritime Museum,
this is unfortunately left for another day to explore.

The start of Greenwich Park,
but my time was so limited,
another day,
hopefully in summer with a picnic,
 much more will be discovered.

The Queen's House is also situated here,
 besides the Observatory,
this is saved for another day's visit.

A New Year but. . . . .still edits from 2 0 1 4 !

Firstly, a belated Happy New Year!
~   ~   ~   ~
Although I am optimistic and welcome 2015,
I find myself still looking back at photos,
and editing from recent previous months.
~   ~   ~   ~
Smudge, the dog, really got into the festive spirit.

But, for this lovely season, I even had the chance to visit
Hyde Park, London,
to soak up the atmosphere of
'Winter Wonderland'.
A real seasonal uplifter!

Not only fairground rides,
 but market stalls,
with a festive feel helped to make this season
 that much more real.

With the Xmas gift giving,
a majority of us can expect the usual of slippers amongst those gifts,
if only I could fit into the ones below lol!

But,
the religious theme of the birth of Christ,
 will reinforce the reasoning
 behind such celebrations.

With much present giving,

some of the most memorable present giving,
 comes from the packetaging. .  . .

Although my trip to Cyprus was October/November,
these images are still alive,
with so many photos still to investigate.

Honestly though,
I do truly look forward to

A Belated Happy New Year to everyone!
