Barrington Court

Barrington Court, a National Trust property,
a large country estate,
nestled in the Somerset countryside.

With various walk ways,
leading to hidden walled gardens,

Colourful signs of Spring much in evidence

Old fashioned stables, with ageing gates to keep animals in,

A rhubarb patch beneath the old stone wall

The heavy weathered gates,
 protect the kitchen walled gardens

A brief interlude to my day,
unfortunately,
not a lot of time
 to savour the complete tranquillity
 this wonderful place offers.
I will look forward to returning.

Never Enough Time

Whenever I visit Kew Gardens,
I really find there is not enough time to see everything.
A day is not long enough to venture
around all of these magnificant gardens.

Just a few more images of my recent visit.

All the Signs

With Autumn leaves progressively fall,
especially with increasingly,
 colder weather creeping in,
signs of the winter in evidence with
many plants remaining  with masses of berries.

Thoughts,
 certainly starting to give way,
 to preparations for
the Christmas season.

Coleton Fishacre

Coleton Fishache,
now a National Trust property,
 built during the 1920's,
with lots of Art Deco features & styling,
surrounded by beautiful gardens & woodland,
descending to the South West coastal path,
 situated close to Kingswear/Dartmouth,
Devon.

A wonderful location to explore!

Last Day of Summer...!?!

Well, they say today is officially the last day of Summer!
Where has it gone....
I still want to sit & relax in sunshine
& appreciate the delights of summer,
from each individual bloom,
to the wonderful colour  that surrounds us in summer.

Or to be by the Seaside,

This year really has gone too quickly.....
Never enough time to appreciate
 every aspect of the season.

Really want just some more quality moments
 from  such a lovely season.....
~  ~  ~  ~
Lets hope theres still some lovely weather
to enable us to enjoy all these natural delights!
