Everything in the garden had taken on a mamouth growing spurt due to the recent rain storms, so with some generous help from the neighbours, it was a good time to start pruning.

I also felt lucky to take these new photos, as there is also a definite hint of the Autumn starting to creep in. . . .

Most of the buddleia blooms were now nearly finished, in fact, only a few flower heads left. Now nearly ready for cutting back, so was well please when I managed to capture these beautiful butterflies, the Small Tortoiseshell & the Painted lady together.

The Bumble Bee busy collecting the nectar to turn into honey. . . .

Patience is a Virture

At the bottom of the garden, where the buddleia grows, I saw loads of action with butterflies, the Peacock in particular.

The ground is slightly elevated in sections, so I had difficulty in getting an advantage point to enable myself to take a photo.

I perched on one of the levels & stood quietly for an absolute age!

If the neighbours had seen me, I sure they would have wondered what was going on, especially as I was now facing the houses with a camera in hand!

But, as they say, patience is definitely a virture.

I just wish the Buddleia didn't grow so tall, but I was please with the results.
