Beautiful Swans, some acting rather disgruntled. . . .

Still some flowers to be found

 amongst the flourishing traits of Autumn. . . .

There were also sightings of Black Swans. . . .

Shades of green still to be seen. . . .

But the Autumn

 shedding of leaves still continue,

 as the trees & plants

 prepare for a winter of rest.

Evening Light

The Sunday after the clocks had gone back 1 hour,

 such a transistion to the end of the day,

longer nights to look forward to . . . .

Slimbridge Wetlands Centre

Last Sunday, the first day with the altering of the clocks,

 we visited Slimbridge in Gloucester,

 a Wetland Centre which is a base for mirgrating geese, birds,

 ducks & include resident flamingos,

 besides other wildlife.

The Centre covers such a vast area,

 which has many bird hides for visitors to use.

Although there was showers,

the weather did eventually brighten,

 with  Autumn shades still providing stunning colours.

With the staff feeding the birds

 during the afternoon,

 much activity commenced,

 until the birds, ducks,  geese settled

 before an earlier dark evening emerged.

Reflections

With a walk to my Doctors this morning,

I walked through one of the town's parks.

Managed to  capture these shots as I was walking by.

Westonbirt Aboretum

The blending shades of Autumn, although the Aboretum still not at

 it's fullest impact with Autumn colour, the results is still stunning. . . .

So many walkways to explore with numorous

 trees associated with places all over the world. . . .

Which way now. .  . . .?

Gosh, how tall is this one. . . .

Leaves nearly fallen. . . . .

together with pine cones. . . . .

Autumn shades turning to a bright warm red. . . . .

The various Hydraneas  nearly finished for the season. . . .

before a majority of trees are bare.

The fountain & lake is situated

 in front of the massive & largest of the hot houses,

 which has some beautiful flowers

 growing at the lakeside.
